Finally, dreams come true... that's the only things came thru out my mind. semua barang dah siap pack. My flight to Heathrow is supposed to be on 17th July 2007, Tuesday, 11.40pm. But then, it was delayed to 12.20am.
Sedih sangat nak tinggalkan ANGGUN & ALAM. Tambah pulak my husband was not around that time. Azimin went to Langkawi for 3 days. My parents, Wieza, Meir, my parents-in-law and my sister-in-law family tolong hantar gie KLIA. I told them no need to send me. bukan pegi 4-5 tahun, just seminggu jer but then, semua nak hantar.
ANGGUN mula2 sedih coz nak kena tinggal lama. Yelah, selalunya tinggalkan dia just 2-3 hari jer. but lepas pujuk2, then dia ok. ALAM la yang kesian, tak tahu apa2... Lepas check-in, lebih kurang pukul 10pm, we all masuk pergi boarding hall. Flight delayed again until 1.30am. we got a coupon for dinner and we went to Burger King makan dulu... 2.00am, baru masuk dalam kapalterbang but still tak jalan lagi. around 3am, baru flight jalan.
we reached Heathrow on 18th July 2007, 9.00am. 13 hours journey... so tired. from Heathrow, we took a tube until King's Cross, then took a train to Hatfield. From Hatfield, naik cab sampai University of Hertfordshire (UH). We met 2 delegates from Malaysia as well in the train, they're from Institut Perguruan Temenggong Ibrahim.
It was so exhausted but still gagahkan diri pergi pusing2 UH after check-in. they're having a craft fair. then, i was excuseed from the window shopping trip. 3 of them went to The Galleria shopping mall (just 5 minutes walking distance from UH). i was so tired, balik bilik & tido.
malamnya, we had our dinner at Nando's. I just ordered the side dish... hehehehe... makanlah garlic bread, potato chips, salad, corn... dekat sini, kedai & shopping mall semua tutup pukul 6.00pm. some restaurant still open until 10pm sebab dekat dengan cinema. Pukul 10 malam tapi still cerah. sebab tu tak terasa mcm malam.
19th July 2007, Thursday
Breakfast pukul 8am. the 2 delegates from the teacher college tu macam takut2 nak makan sebab diaorg kata takut tak halal. i told them yang i asked UH to prepare HALAL food for me. UH people know what is HALAL food, believe me. they used to come to Malaysia very often. somemore, diaorg masak guna vege oil. makan toast bread, fruits, etc.
Then, got to know a few delegates... total 7 delegates from malaysia. 2 from INTI-UC, 2 from The One Academy, 2 from IPTI and 1 from IPKB.
their lunch was very simple, light lunch with sanwiches. for muslim, they prepare vege & seafood sanwiches...
then, sambung lagi our conference session. after the afternoon session, we a few of us went to Hatfield town. jalan2 sambil beli chocolate dekat ASDA (24 hours punya shopping mall). lebih kurang macam Giant la nie...
pukul 7.00pm, we all dah kena berkumpul sebab nak pergi dinner kat Hatfield House, one of the history place in Hatfield. Hatfield House nie macam Bankers Club la kalau kat KL. Very English style... and malam tu, lagi sekali kena jadi vegetarian... 4 courses of dinner served... yang boleh masuk tekak just yang last sekali... chocolate brownies. itupun, dia punya chocolate, sikit punya rich la....
20th July 2007, Friday
today, the conference session was only for half day. pagi2 lagi, we all dah plan to go jalan-jalan dekat somewhere around st. alban after lunch. 3 of us (mr. cheah, vanee - this girl from the one academy and me)ambik cab after lunch and we started with visited a few historical building and parks. we went to a church yang usianya lebih kurang 700+ tahun. so historical... it was a village earlier and after that they developed that place and yg tinggal just the current building. the best part, semua rumah & bangunan yang diaorg runtuhkan for the development were documented.
after the visit, shopping time!!!there are a lot of shops (most of it designer shops) dekat st. alban. it was a high profile place in Hatfield, lebih kurang macam Hartamas la kalau kat KL nie... So, secara jujurnya, kedai yg mampu untuk dibeli oleh orang2 dari malaysia macam kami nie ialah clarks, marks & spencer, crabtree & evelyn (semua jenis kedai yg ada outlet kat msia). lepas tu, we had our dinner in zizi, one of the italian restaurant. kiri kanan ramai pak arab & minah arab, so belasah la... we all ordered a few dishes and share... pizza, pasta, and something fish apatah, tak ingat nama dia. air, tab water. kat sana, tab water boleh minum tau! and tak macam air paip kat umah kita yg warna kuning tu... orang sini semua minum tab water... and yg paling penting, tap water tu FREE
21st July 2007, Saturday.
Time to check-out. lepas check-out, UH bagi cab untuk hantar us to London. We plan to go for shopping @ Oxford Street. Lepas hantar 2 of the delegates from IPTI to Malaysian Hall, we went to Vanee's hotel. dia check-in and mr. cheah & me buat muka seposen tumpang luggage kat bilik dia.
we took a tube to Oxford Street. lunch mc d dulu konon nanti tak nak lapar masa shopping. dari satu kedai ke satu kedai we all masuk. macam dah expert... then, we split sebab tak nak buang masa. dari mng, next, topshop, m&s, gap, h&m, nike, doorthy perkins... habis semua kedai we all masuk... and kitaorg berkumpul balik depan topshop pukul 5.00pm. lepas tu pergi m&s balik, beli dinner. apalagi dinner yg paling murah... roti, salad, buah.
dengan barang2 shopping yg berat2 tu, pergilah balik tempat vanee. makan kat situ. lepas tu, dalam pukul 8.00pm, terus ambik tube, pergi check-inn kat hotel kitaorg kat juryss inn, heathrow. sebab terlalu penat, lepas mandi, repacking, makan sikit and terus terlelap. sebab tido awal, bangun pun awal. pukul 3.30am dah terjaga and terus tak boleh tido lagi. pukul 6.45am, we all terus pergi breakfast kat hotel and after that, ambik tube, terus gie heathrow airport. flight tak delay this time.
heathrow punya security memang strict. seorg boleh bawak 1 ager hand lugage and ada 3 security check-point. habis kasut pun kena bukak... and another 13 hours of journey.
23rd July 2007, Monday
Reached KLIA @ 9.00am and lepas ambik bag, semua selesai dalam 9.45am. keluar jer, terus nampak mama & ALAM. and ANGGUN, ayah and AZIMIN. Thanks God! I miss you guys so much!!! Finally...
Sampai rumah, ANGGUN terus suruh bukak barang2, tak sabar nak tengok present untuk dia....
